An Autumn Walk

Autumn is the final trick in nature’s year-long magic show: It masks death with a spectacular display of beauty.
KEITH HANSEN, American Motercyclist, Nov. 1982

This morning the air was cool and perfect for a walk.  Our neighborhood has paths through the woods that are perfect for a enjoying Mother Nature.

The walks wind through the woods, over creeks and up and down hills.  There are many to choose from and make the walk that much more enjoyable.

“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
― Lauren DeStefano, Wither

“Autumn is the hardest season. The leaves are all falling, and they’re falling like
they’re falling in love with the ground.”
― Andrea Gibson

“Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves,
We have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!”
― Humbert Wolfe

Share Your World – Week #39

Which way does the toilet paper roll go? Over or under?  There is a constant battle in my home of the over/under.  I am an over and my spouse prefers the under.

If you were a crayon, what color would you be?  No! No! No!  I cannot choose between my colors!  What day is it?  I love them all!!!  Look at the banner photo, does that look like someone who can choose just one?

You are comfortable doing nothing? For long stretches of time?  This would have to be a No.  Nothing on the back porch means watching the birds and deer, but usually I am knitting or playing a game on my iPhone.  Most of the time I am doing two things at a time.  I can sit still and be comfortable, but I prefer not to.

Rather: Would you accept $5,000 to shave your head or die it bright lime green and continue your normal activities while not explaining the reason for your haircut or color?  I would shave my head for nothing in solidarity for a friend.  I would die my hair green (gulp) for nothing in support of a friend.  I would not do either one for money.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  I am grateful for old friends and new who are there for me when needed.

I am looking forward to seeing family this weekend and fun times with the grandkids,
