It depends on the quilt. This one had lots and lots of little pieces and then I hand quilted. I enjoy doing the decorative hand quilting. It is peaceful and good to do while listening to good music or a good audio book. This quilt was worked on between other projects and took over a year to complete.
I’m not sure it’s perseverance or procrastination. If I had just done the quilt and not strayed from the mission, it probably would have only taken a month. It was all the decorative stitching that took the most time.
